Quick Start Sessions are back by popular demand! Like certification courses, these sessions are short, instructional lessons on equipment in Ignite Studio, but on equipment that doesn’t require certification but instead may require some operating knowledge. Learn the basics as a staff member demonstrates how to use equipment. You will walk away with enough information to start your own project in the future! Registration is required and begins two weeks prior to the date of the class.
Cricut Machine Quick Start!

Learn basic techniques to get you started on our Cricut Maker. This versatile cutting and drawing machine is fun to use in a variety of ways, from making vinyl stickers and iron-ons to card making and cutting fabric appliques. Get acquainted with the Cricut Design Space software that the Cricut uses to process your designs. Ages 13+.
Sewing Machine Quick Start!

Learn the basics of our Singer Sewing Machines including how to thread the machines, wind bobbins, and sew in a straight line. Those under 13 must attend with an adult. Ages 11+.
Embroidery Machine Quick Start!

Learn to use our Brother NQ1700E embroidery machine – it’s easier than you think! In this quick start session, learn how to thread the machine and change thread colors, choose a premade pattern, add stabilizer, and prepare your item for embroidery. Ages 16+.
Sublimation Quick Start!

Learn to use our sublimation equipment in this quick start session in the Fab Lab. Discover the various items you can personalize, including mugs, t-shirts, ornaments, and other items. Get acquainted with the necessary software and the various heat presses used in the process. Ages 16+.
Pro-Light Exposure Unit Quick Start!

Learn the basics of utilizing our Pro-Light Exposure Equipment to prepare a silk screen for printmaking. This is a quick start session designed to get participants familiar with how to prep silk screens with photo emulsion and how to use the Pro-Light Exposure Unit to transfer designs onto the screen with a transparency sheet. Photo Scanner Quick Start!
Wednesday December 4 – 1:30 – 2:00 PM
Learn to use our Epson FastFoto scanner in this quick start session. Our photo scanner can convert your old, printed photos into digitized images that can be stored or shared. Get acquainted with the software and what you’ll need to successfully scan and save treasured memories. Ages 16+.
If you want to participate in a session but are unable to attend, you can schedule a Book-an-Expert appointment for one-on-one help with a piece of equipment. Book-an-Experts are short, 30-minute sessions meant to answer specific troubleshooting questions or give cursory introductions to equipment.
