The A.V. Studio has software to help you get started with your next production project. We offer Adobe Premiere Pro for quick cutting your film project together and Studio One Artist Edition for your audio needs. We encourage patrons to use the A.V. Studio primarily for the production phase of their project and to move into our Digital Media Labs for the post-production phase.

Do you offer training classes on the A.V. Studio equipment?

How can I reserve time in the A.V. Studio?

Prior to making a reservation, please read our usage guidelines.

How long are the reservation times in the A.V. Studio?

The A.V. Studio can be reserved in two-hour blocks of time for up to six consecutive hours, and no more than twelve hours per week. If patrons are more than 10 minutes late for any reservation, the reservation is forfeit, and the equipment will be made available to other patrons upon request.

Do I need a library card to use the A.V. Studio?

Patrons must present both a library card and a state-issued ID when they arrive for their reservation time. Not a library cardholder yet? You can get a card here!

What should I expect when I make a reservation?
First time users of the A.V. Studio with limited background in audio or video production will want to spend their first few reservations getting acquainted with our equipment. The studio is a new resource designed to help patrons grow their skills and try new things, but all learning in that space is intended to be self-directed.
How can I take my files home?

Patrons can bring either an external hard drive or SD card to save their files to depending on their project. Ignite Studio also offers external hard drives that can be checked out and taken home for a short loan period.

How old do I have to be to use the A.V. Studio?

The A.V. Studio may be reserved by patrons 16 and older for groups including patrons in grade 6 and up. Patrons in grades 5 and below must be accompanied by an adult age 18+.
