Ignite Studio Launches Curbside Creativity Packs

By Katelyn Coyne

Ignite Studio launches Curbside Creativity Packs to curb your quarantine boredom during Covid-19. Drive through Hamilton East Public Library’s Curbside Holds Pickup and ask about our Creativity Packs. A different pack will be available for pick up each week, starting on Fridays. Spark you creativity at home—supplies and instructions included. Available while supplies last.

Curious what to expect from these little packs with a big punch? Here is an overview of the offerings for late May 2020 through June 2020. (Date listed is the first date of distribution, but packs will be given out while supplies last each week.)

May 22—Paper Creativity Pack

Beautiful and decorative paper stars are a simple and perfect accent for at-home décor or party festivities. Plus, enjoy bonus sketching and drawing worksheets to jump-start your creativity!

May 29—Balloon Rockets

Make your own balloon rockets at home using a few simple materials. This fun science experiment zooms rockets across the room using the power of air propulsion and opposing forces.

If you can’t make it to the library to pick up this pack, gather your own simple supplies and read the instructions for balloon rockets here.

June 5—Tissue Paper Painting

This unique painting technique gives artists a chance to experiment with color using only tissue paper and water!

If you missed out on this fun at-home painting project, you can find tissue paper painting instructions here, and create to your heart’s content.

June 12—Father’s Day Pop-Up Cards

Celebrate your pop with a fun pop-up card! This activity comes to us courtesy of one of our favorite Ignite volunteers—Dorothy.

Check out the website with instructions and printable here, and download a special printable for dad.

June 19—String Beads

A simple technique can produce beautiful results as you create your own beads using embroidery floss and straws!

If you miss this Curbside Creativity Pack, don’t worry! If you can gather some straws, string, and glue, you can follow these instructions and make your own!
