Ignite Studio seeks applications for the 2021 Maker-in-Residence position. DEADLINE EXTENDED!
Description of Maker-in-Residence
Ignite Studio invites central Indiana artists to serve as our Maker-in-Residence. Ignite Studio is an arts-focused makerspace at the Fishers location of the Hamilton East Public Library. We offer broad access to a variety of art and making practices to library patrons. In our space, patrons on-ramp to their own creativity by engaging with new and exciting equipment and experiences. The Maker-in-Residence program is an integral part of this mission to help inspire and empower people to reconnect making practices.
The Maker-in-Residence will receive a stipend of $3000, a modest budget for supplies, access to a private 1600 square foot studio space, and free use of all Ignite Studio equipment and supplies. During the residency, the artist will offer patron experiences related to their art/making practice and will have exhibit space in Ignite Studio.
