Synesthesia
October 26 2024 – January 10 2025
Sound-color synesthesia involves seeing specific colors when you hear certain sounds or music. Sounds can appear like colors in the mind. In celebration of this phenomenon, this exhibit features pieces that relate to color or sound or both.
This show was juried by artist Shaunt’e Lewis, an artist, illustrator, and designer living in Fishers, known for her strong use of color. Shaunt’e selected the top three pieces out of over 100 submissions to this show. Sherry Polley won 1st place for her highly energetic plexiglass piece TONE. 2nd place was awarded to Dejiah Archie-Davis for her vibrant mixed media piece Self-Portrait. Ginger Borden received 3rd place for her dynamic cityscape A Little Night Music.
