Past Exhibit

Brushstrokes, motifs, lines, shapes, colors–anything can be turned into a pattern through repetition. Pattern is one of the principles of art. It refers to a regular arrangement of alternating or repeated items. Pattern can make an item decorative, provide visual interest or guide you through a piece of art.

For this exhibit, one patterned piece was chosen and replicated onto fabric through a fabric design company. This fabric was available in Ignite Studio for patrons to make a take-home craft using the material.
